Why saree?
Saree, a traditional Hindu female garment is usually comprises a long single piece of unstitched fabric, approximately measured 5.5 – 6.3 meters in length and 1 meter in width. As it is designed so uniquely, not only Hindus can wear one, others can creatively create traditional garments from a saree too!
We can easily make a pair of Baju Kurung/Kebaya, plus another blouse or a pair of our daughter’s Baju Kurung/Kebaya only with one piece of saree. We can always be creative in designing our outfit using saree as the garment normally has three separated parts, each with different special design. I’ll upload some of my collection of Baju Kurung/Kebaya made using sarees soon…..
